AMANDA MIKHAELSENIOR COMMUNICATION & ENGAGEMENT CONSULTANT
With 10 years of experience in the civil construction and mining industries and a previous 6 years in finance and investment banking, Amanda draws on a range of experience to provide high-level communications support for major projects and tender submissions. Amanda specialises in the delivery of on-the-ground stakeholder engagement as well as strategic writing including communication plans, tenders, case studies, proposals and annual reports.
REBECCA SPENCERFOUNDER & PRINCIPLE CONSULTANT
Becscomm was founded in 2017 by Principal Consultant Rebecca Spencer after 20 years of industry experience. Rebecca is the ‘go-to’ practitioner for delivering communication and engagement strategies for major projects and clients within the infrastructure and transport sectors. She is IAP2 qualified and is often sought after to provide technical advice and expertise for multi-billion dollar tender submissions. Rebecca is a fierce advocate for women in the sector.
AMANDA MUIRDIRECTOR, ENGAGEMENT & GOVERNMENT RELATIONS
Amanda joins Becscomm as a Director of Engagement & Government Relations bringing 20 years of experience delivering communications and engagement strategies for transport infrastructure. During this time, she has worked across multiple transport modes including rail, light rail, roads and ferries.
Amanda has delivered communications and engagement strategies for multi-billion-dollar projects in complex and challenging environments.
BEN HUDSONCOMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT CONSULTANT
Ben started his career in the UK working in logistics in the FMCG space. Since moving to Sydney at the end of 2017, he has worked on two major projects; specialising in community engagement and stakeholder relations. Ben has a genuine passion for relationship management, conflict resolution and is a strategic thinker.
FARIA HOSSAINCOMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT CONSULTANT
Faria is a highly competent, qualified Stakeholder Engagement Specialist with 10+ years’ experience in community relations and handling complex stakeholder engagement. Her experience spans multiple industries including infrastructure, telecommunication, community and climate change. She has worked as a Place Manager for NSW transport and before moving to Australia Faria was the Stakeholder Engagement Manager for President Obama’s Global Initiate Project.
CATHERINE WHEELERGENERAL MANAGER
Joining the Becscomm team early in 2019, Catherine brings 15 years of national and international marketing and management experience and a whole lot of exciting ideas. Catherine’s expertise includes a specific focus on digital engagement, social media, marketing and client direction. With a background in tourism, government and advertising she is responsible for driving the business, the brand and ensuring our clients are happy and engaged.
SIMON SPENCEROPERATIONS DIRECTOR
As an instrumental part of driving the Becscomm start-up phase, Simon draws on his 20+ years of sales and marketing experience to manage the internal operations of the company. From finance to sales direction, Simon ensures that everything behind the scenes is running seamlessly.
VANESSA TIERNANSENIOR ASSOCIATE
Partnering with Becscomm through Roobarb and Company, Vanessa has over 20 years’ experience in communications, stakeholder engagement, event and project management. Vanessa has a proven track record in developing and implementing communications and community consultation strategies for high profile infrastructure projects.
